Man of the Week – Drew Brees

I thought I would choose one more NFL man of the week to close out the 2009-2010 season, and what better man to choose than the King of Nawlins and your Superbowl XLIV MVP, Mr. Drew Brees. What else can be said about Drew that hasn’t been repeated all season and post season long? Drew is the heart and soul of the New Orleans Saints organization, and I imagine he’ll always be known as the leader of the team that finally brought the Lombardi Trophy home to New Orleans. In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, the city of New Orleans has looked to the Saints for inspiration. After a triumphant return to the Superdome and a playoff berth in 2006, Who Dat nation began to believe more than ever that a Superbowl appearance AND win were possible. And now after 42 seasons, many of which were long and miserable, the New Orleans Saints are world champions. (more…)
